Wellness Practices During Quarantine

With more time at home, I’ve been focused on nurturing my wellness practice. This has brought me peace and really helped me manage my feelings surrounding this situation. While wellness is not a one size fits all approach I wanted to share some of my favorite practices to help inspire you to spend this time focused on your own wellness. Daily Practices:

  • Journaling

    • Morning: I start with the prompts: Attitude + Gratitude where I track my current feelings and what I’m grateful for. Then I set a mantra or intention for the day.

    • Evening: I re-list my gratitude and my attitude and then list my accomplishments for the day.

  • Reading

    • Normally poetry in the morning and then a book at night.

  • Meditation

    • Focus on your breath + follow the 16 count breath (inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4)

  • Oracle Card Pull

  • Ice Roll in the morning

  • Jade Roll at night

  • Stretching in the morning; Yoga flow at night

  • Crystal mediation

  • Horoscope reading

  • Bible Study

  • Worship moment (I blast worship music + dance around)

  • Chai tea latte/hot chocolate

  • Exercise

  • Daily dance breaks

Weekly Practices

  • Eye mask

  • Church service

  • In-depth bible study

  • CBD oil (when needed)

  • Learning

    • I’ve been practicing French again (I used to be fluent) and learning calligraphy

  • Art time

    • I’ve been learning watercolor and creating new decor for our new apartment!

  • Virtual Wellness Retreats

    • @rachelrecharged and @selfcaresociety have been putting on the best ones!
