My Morning Office Routine

Let’s be honest - I don’t give myself enough time in the morning to have a long morning routine. I often find myself cramming in hair/make up, breakfast and getting dressed. I do not have time to mediate, drink hot tea, journal, etc.

However, I do get to work a little early. In recent weeks, I’ve developed a perfect morning office routine that really helps set the tone for my day. I personally struggle to get in and immediately get to work - I need to ease into it, which is why I prefer to get to work early. If you struggle to fit in a wellness minded morning routine before work, try and give yourself extra time in the office to try some of these activities.

Here’s my full morning routine:

6:30-6:35: Finally wake up after snoozing for 10-15 minutes

6:35-7:00: Hair/make up (I try and do my hair every day!)

7:00-7:15: Pack lunch & make breakfast

7:30-7:35: Get dressed

7:45: Take the bus to work - I normally listen to my morning music playlist & engage on Instagram or just scroll to get inspired for the day

8:20: Arrive at work. I settle into my desk, open my computer, unpack my bag, etc.

8:25: Fill up water bottle. If I don’t do this first thing, I’ll forget and next I know it’s 2 p.m. and I haven’t had water all day.

8:27: Mediate. I’ve been carving out five minutes to mediate and focus on breathing before other people come into the office when it’s still quiet. I’ve found these five minutes have had a big impact on my day - I’m much calmer and more focused throughout the day.

8:32: Drink water & read my horoscope & encouraging quotes. Gotta start the day with a positive mindset.

8:40: Look at my planner & calendar and plan out my day. I also take some time to develop a mantra, make a water tracker, log my gratitude and do any other planning I need to.

8:45: Start diving into my emails & catch up on the news before the day

This routine has helped me merge work & life a bit better to create a more holistic wellness minded and balanced life. What’s your morning routine?
